What’s up guys!

The human flag is one of the most complex skills because it forces you to pull and push at the same time which feels quite unnatural. Of course there are plernty of exerciss to strengthen the muscles needed for the human flag, but how to get used to this unnatural position?

In this video explain the steps that you need to take to start training for the human flag. So this involves the grip but also the easiest progressions of the flag hold.

TIPS FOR HUMAN FLAG:

Step 1:
Start on a horizontal bar and make sure your hands are perfectly alligned when grabbing the bar.
Step 2:
Place your hands on the outer side of the bars where it connects with the pole. This will prevent your from spinning around.
Step 3:
Start with the vertical flag down hold exercise. This is the first exercise that will help you to understand how to push and pull at the same time.
Step 4:
Progress to a assisted horizontal human flag with a resistance band. This exercise will help you to understand the performance of the full movement and how to involce the core.
Step 5:
Progress to a vertical flag up hold with your own bodyweight and from there start doing negatives towards tucked / one leg / straddle or full human flag.
